The catalogue describes a connection, not just a label

Interroll's general technical information describes an antistatic element connecting the roller's metal tube and shaft. Its planning guidance assigns the conducting connection between shaft and side profile, and grounding of that profile, to the system manufacturer. These descriptions put the installed arrangement into the discussion alongside the roller itself.

For purchasing, identify the exact roller version and its intended position. Keep the complete construction and shaft-end details with the request instead of relying on an antistatic label alone. A part supplied for one installed arrangement should not silently become approval of another.

This is a reading of manufacturer planning material, not a claim that we have tested an installed conveyor.

A replacement needs its installation context

Ask the roller supplier to identify what the offered component provides and the system manufacturer to identify the installation responsibilities. Keep those answers in one record. Where surfaces, sleeves, shaft attachments or frame details differ from the existing configuration, have the responsible parties review the proposed change.

Matching a roller's diameter and overall length does not document the entire assembly. Preserve the version and finishing details on the order and the supplied-part identification. If a quotation uses a broad family name, request the configuration that will actually be delivered.

The question is whether the selected component and installation have been reviewed together. This article provides no wiring diagram, resistance threshold, electrical test method or approval for a classified hazardous area.

Name who checks the completed arrangement

Interroll's planning guidance calls for the relevant conducting connections and grounding to be made and checked by the system manufacturer. The purchasing scope should therefore identify who owns that check and what completion record the buyer will receive. Follow the applicable manufacturer instructions and the site's professional assessment.

Keep the accepted component references and installation record available for later maintenance. A change to a roller, its mounting or surrounding structure may reopen a question previously resolved for the original arrangement. Route that change to the responsible supplier instead of treating a stores substitution as an unchanged design.

The original illustrations distinguish the component boundary from the installed-system review. They are functional concepts only, without showing how to connect or test electrical equipment.

Manufacturer announcements and our analysis are distinguished. Product claims require verification for the specific application.
